Though Jay and I are no longer in partnership like we once were, we’re still working together in some respects (we have properties that just didn’t lend themselves to being split up). Our local classified network that we have talked about before has FINALLY been completely cleared of wrongdoing in Google’s eyes, and our thousands of longtail search queries are back!

Also before I go further, I’d like to confirm that Adam Lasnik merely had a misunderstanding with us, because he did drop me a line when time permitted and gave us helpful advice with our issue. We must have simply misunderstood the timeframe he gave us.

Anyway, now that the sites are back up and running, we’ve commissioned a huge revamp of the script that will include a lot of new features and AJAX functionality. It’s good enough that we’re considering selling the script for profit once it’s completed, in addition to running it on our network. More on that in the future.

Jay has been a busy little beaver these last few months, and he’s managed to come up with a successful ebook that’s actually making him some money… I’m hoping I can convince him to share a little of his tactics with all of us, so stay tuned in case I can.

Going Do-Follow: Very soon we’ll be going do-follow on the comments. I’ll explain why and what prompted me to do this when we actually implement the plug-in.

Finally, I found this handy list of of 101 monetization sources over at Vandelay Design. It’s a great reference sheet that’s separated into categories. This makes it much easier to find the type of program you’re looking for, check it out!

Good Profits!

    Dave,
Thanks a lot for the link! I’m interested to read about your decision to remove the nofollow tags, I did the same thing on my blog just a few weeks ago.
