I try not to talk about personal things too often, just because I tend to think that sort of stuff doesn’t belong on a blog like this. That being said, Johnny Fuery AND Lee both tagged me to write some random facts about myself… so lucky you guys! I’ve decided that, since the blog IS called Dave and Jay, I would give you guys some random facts about both Jay and myself.
1. We both did Gulag hard labour after stealing Russian military secrets for CSIS. It was a brutal experience, but when I think to myself “where would the Canadian army be, without those secrets”, it makes it all worth it. We eventually escaped by digging a tunnel with a midget in our cell block. Fun fact: For cheap entertainment, ask Jay if he’s ever been in Turkish prison and enjoy the reaction.
2. Jay and I have known each other since we were about 10 years old or so. Before we hit our 20’s we would basically get in a fight every other week and say we would never talk to each other ever again… and then get over it. We were pretty horrible to each other too, but somehow we are still friends.
3. We used to watch movies in a theater almost every single weekend. Sometimes more than one, and a lot of times they were movies that sucked. We stopped going so often when we realized how much money it was costing us.
4. This is more about Jay, but Jay is a really nice guy… unless you cross him. Then he is your worst nightmare! I honestly wish I could tell you some stories, and I would if it wouldn’t get Jay into some sort of legal trouble….heh heh.
5. If you say “NO HACKS NIRE” or “KING CORE FOR GC, I WILL PLEASE ALL MEN” to either of us, we’ll laugh hysterically… and you’ll never know why.
6 . Jay and I have a friendly Gamertag competition going with our XBox 360’s. Things have kind of cooled off lately, but I’ll probably pull ahead at some point in the future and the battle will resume. Jay and I are both pretty avid gamers, though we don’t play as much as we used to.
7. When we were little, Jay made up a fictional Star Trek game that was 100 disks (computers used 3.5 inch floppies) that he had the only copy of. To this day, no matter what I say, he swears up and down that it is real, but STILL won’t let me play it!
And that’s about all I got! Hope you enjoyed these random facts… I’ll have to tag Chee, though he’s already done it, so go read his random facts!
Good profits!
