While this isn’t exactly a joint venture project, Dave and I have worked out an agreement to allow me to sell an ebook using one of our jointly owned content site domains; for the moment, I plan on keeping the exact details private, at least until the book is done and the sales letter is online.
The book is currently about 20% complete, and I will be writing it and hiring a ghost writer (hopefully Faith) to take my rambling thoughts and poor grammar and turn it into something that makes sense. For the most part, this project is about getting my feet wet in the ebook market - moreso than making scads of money - so the niche I chose to run with was a small one with zero competition.
On the plus side, for you guys our experiences in sales letters and writing should give us a few more topics to explore, and will hopefully get some of you motivated enough to go out and try something yourselves. :)

Jay, I hope you’re planning on sharing some tips on marketing your ebook. I have a new ebook (my first) about quitting smoking. I’m making money on it, but more slowly than I would have hoped. Any thoughts on marketing would be appreciated, and probably of great interest to your other readers. Good luck!
