One of the major challenges we all face is finding new ways to build links, and quite honestly, cracking the concept of getting 1 way links is perhaps the biggest thing you will ever do online… but sadly, few ever accomplish it. As part of our recent review of SEO Elite we thought it would be a good idea to give out some of our ideas and tactics on how to use this software to your maximum advantage.

1. Finding Indexed Directory Links

One method which used to be all the rage a few years ago was directory submissions; people still do them quite frequently, but its not as powerful as it used to be. With those, it’s hard to tell if your listing will ever be indexed, though by doing a link scan on your competition - using a more revealing search engine like MSN or Yahoo - you can discover which listings your competition has that are worth getting for yourself. So, instead of having to pay for 100 submissions or doing them all yourself, you can pick off the handful that are actually worth having and save yourself time and money!

2. Find Webmasters Who Exchange Content

One of the more powerful methods of link building right now is article exchanges, the idea being that you post an article with deep links into your site on another website, and you post a article with links pointing to your partner’s site on your website.

This accomplishes a number of things: it helps your site get deep indexed, and you can link to these pages with useful anchor text.

With SEO Elite, you can find out where your competition is getting his links, and if you find a site that has an article about your competition, you can email them with an offer of your own. This can also save you the time and expense of doing article submissions.

3. Find Out Who’s Linking To Your Competitor

It may seem obvious, but don’t overlook contacting the sites that link to your competitor’s webpage and asking them to link to you. This is especially useful if your site is providing free resources and information. You can’t expect everyone who you email to link to you, but everyone who does makes your life that much easier. This is an important and sometimes overlooked step to take when building a new site.

Good Profits.
