I have to admit, these past few weeks I’ve been having a real hard time staying focused. It’s not that I’m not doing any work, in fact I spent a lot of my birthday working on the BEP-Fan galleries and other stuff around the sites…
The problem is, right now there are so, so many sites to work on that it’s almost impossible to stay the course on a single site. Since we’re essentially trying to rebuild our fan site empire, and we have over 200 sites, I find that I start working on 1 site only to find reason to believe another site will do better… and then discover a reason to work on another site… and the end result is a bunch of sites that get a little love but none of them get enough.
One of the more recent sites to break my focus up is our old flagship site Ashley-Tisdale.us. A few months back, we peaked just shy of 14,000 unique visitors - and since then, the site’s rankings melted away and we get roughly 4500. Now the problem is that after pretty much giving up on it, today it has reappeared: ranking #143 on Google.
So what does that mean? Well, I’ve been working pretty diligently on our John Cena fan site, and now of course I see a glimmer of possibility in another site and want to jump over to work on it…
*sigh* It’s days like this I really wish we had fewer sites. I have no doubt we could hire at least 2 full time writers and 2 part time webmasters to help with the admin work and still be overwhelmed…

Just hire a couple of webmasters to take care of a chunk of sites (for example, assign one to your fan sites, and another to your computer sites, etc) and see if that helps.
As far as writers, you could probably track a couple down on Sitepoint fairly cheaply.
