Hello, my name is Dave and I am a compulsive website launcher.

One of the biggest issues Jay and I struggle with is motivation, that’s part of the reason we’re partnering together. We work well together and get after each other to make sure we’re doing work. So, while we don’t have that many projects…when you consider that we both have jobs outside of setting up websites and our motivational problems, it puts everything into the proper context.

At the very core, I’m an idea man…I brainstorm and I’m constantly coming up with ideas for new sites. Sometimes I get overzealous and go a little bit crazy with the site launching. When this happens, Jason just shakes his head and wishes me good luck, heh heh.

So I’ve launched two new sites on my own in the past, one of them the lovely Faith is writing the content for, so I’m not too concerned about that. I have a plan! I also commissioned a forum design for a domain I’ve had lying around for quite some time and it’s currently being coded for Vbulletin. Launching a forum (successfully) is very difficult and takes a lot of effort, and I’m the first one to admit that I seem to be always biting off more than I can chew.

I get these ideas for sites, and I just feel as though I need to run with them. I guess in the long run it doesn’t hurt anything too badly, cause if things flop I can usually sell the site for at least what I put into it if not more…and if I don’t get to it, well at least it’s ready to go at some point in the future.

However, I’m pretty sure my constantly split focus drives Jay a little crazy every now and then :)

Kinda sounds like the story of my blogging career! Hi, my name is a Maria and I’m a blogaholic ;) I feel the same way - when I have an idea, I need to just run with it…Glad I’m not the only one!
