We’ve mentioned Tyler Cruz fairly frequently on this blog, he’s even made it on my The Blogs I Read post a while back. Since he’s currently offering a free link for a review of his blog, I figured it’s time to get some backlink love after all the plugs we’ve given him. I don’t know Tyler personally, but I’ve known of him for a while, even before he really had much of a blog going. I remember reading a post he had written on the SitePoint forums about his dreams coming true, earning a living running websites online. This thread was a great inspiration to me, and I think to a lesser extent to Jason as well. At that time, we weren’t really making any money online. (Maybe a $10 bucks a month or something)…but reading Tyler’s story really put things into perspective for me and solidified the belief that earning a living online was possible. For this reason alone, I’ll probably always look at him through the proverbial rose covered glasses.
However, my slight slip into fanboydom aside, Tyler is only 23 and earning a fairly decent living solely from the websites he owns and other online dealings. For this reason alone, if you’re in “the biz” his blog is definitely worth at least a casual perusal every now and then. You shouldn’t be jealous of those in your field who have achieved successes, but instead try and learn from them to better yourself.
