Dave and Jay - Crazy Web Entrepreneurs

I can’t say this was entirely unexpected but apparently at Jim Wales orders all links going to external sites from the English language Wikipedia have now been setup with the search engine sponsored “nofollow” tag. [ Source ]
Obviously this was done to cut down on the spamming that was more then a little rampant on a number of wikipedia pages, but Im sure Im not the only one thinking that the wiki community will if anything police the external links less diligently only leading to a bigger influx of spam..
