We’ve generally found when sending out link requests, that most of the time if someone is going to link to you they will generally get back to you within a week. After that, you recieve few if any responses.
From my first link building day on Tuesday, I’ve officially crossed a 25% response rate, with 17% of the links already setup and pointing to our site. I still have the weekend and monday before we’ve hit that one week marker…so I should be able to get and even higher response rate.
Today (Friday) was another work day, and I sent out 100 link requests for another site that just had its design updated. I haven’t even finished the work day and I’ve already hit a 10% response rate. So I’m pretty sure the final tally on this site will be even greater. Though I may not be able to report on it because Jason is going to be handling the responses.
I’m about 90% sure the high success rate is due to the high quality designs we purchased for the sites in question. Today, a whole pile of emails got sent out with “Link building template” at the top before the message and we still got positive responses from several of those already. Some of them have setup our link already.
I will keep you folks posted.
