So, we started this blog back in December…but why?
Well we decided to start the blog, no check that I decided, and dragged Jay along for the ride (kicking and screaming most of the time) after being inspired by reading the blogs of some other Internet Entrepreneurs. I now read those blogs on a daily / semi daily basis, so I thought I’d share those individuals with you.
www.TylerCruz.com - This is the blog that started it, I was familiar with Tyler’s success online long before we had our own, and I just happened to stumble onto his blog. He’s been updating it more often lately and has some good stuff to stay. I believe he has a lot of challenges ahead of him in his main sites field (poker forums) due to the ban of online poker in the U.S. and I look forward to see how he rises to this challenge (I’m sure he will). He also just but a condo, but apparently nobody wants to hear about that :)
From Tyler’s website, (from a link) I surfed on over to…
www.JohnChow.com - The mack daddy of net business, the dot com mogul himself… John Chow. John is by FAR the most successful out of all the bloggers in this list (I _think_ some of them don’t display their earnings). John updates his blog a lot, and in a few short months has transformed it into a decent revenue earning machine itself. This just goes to prove John’s net savvy. It’s a great blog, probably the only one I visit almost every day without fail, mind you I must admit I am much more interested in the posts he makes that are related to being a net entrepreneur, but his more “off topic” posts can be entertaining sometimes too.
The remaining blogs I all found on John’s “friends & family” list. So if you are the owner of one of these blogs then you have John to thank for me becoming a regular reader of yours :)
www.JonWaraas.com - From what I have read, Jon’s holdings are mostly in MySpace resource sites (we have a fairly high traffic one and can’t earn a dime off it, so good on him for being successful in this market). This year he’s focusing on diversifying his income, a fantastic idea (Something we’re focusing on this year ourselves) and I’m looking forward to seeing how that turns out for him.
Next on the list is www.BobBuskirk.com
While I think that Bob seems to have the most personal posts (this may be completely inaccurate and just a perception I have picked up…it happens a lot, just ask Jay), I don’t blame anyone who makes personal posts it’s natural to want to talk about these things. It’s just not extremely interesting to me, you know I’ll read it if it’s there but I wouldn’t come to the blog just for it. That being said, when Bob does talk shop, it’s usually good as gold. So it’s definitely worth while to read, and he does have the occasional humorous post as well (like the slovenly roommate he ousted recently.)
Honorable mentions…
Matt Coddington I visit his blog occasionally, but it doesn’t seem to be updated as often as the others, and I haven’t really been drawn in by any thought provoking posts about business on the net. Maybe this will change in the future though! I can understand not keeping a blog updated every day, we have trouble with tihs one! :)
I also occasionally visit David Lithman’s Blog, but I just haven’t been pulled in by any riveting business commentary…yet.
There you have it, a little bit about how this blog got started and a list of Bloggers in the same industry that I frequent. I hope you find it helpful

Thanks for visiting my blog, sometimes. I try to incorporate some business aspects and useful tips from time to time, but mostly my blog is a journal about my journey. Keep checking back, and I’m sure you will get hooked.

[…] We’ve mentioned Tyler Cruz fairly frequently on this blog, he’s even made it on my The Blogs I Read post a while back. Since he’s currently offering a free link for a review of his blog, I figured it’s time to get some backlink love after all the plugs we’ve given him. So here’s a little review of his Blog Tyler Cruz An Internet Entrepreneur’s Journey […]
