Every so often Dave and I get togather for what we call a “work day” though I generally reffer to it as “babysit Dave day” it’s where we get togather and discuss ideas play some video games and generally try to do some productive work.
In general I find these days to be about as productive as 3 maybe 4 regular days, the downside is of course I have to take a full day off work and one of us has to drive 40 minutes or so to visit.. Another thing I’ve noticed is that after work days we generally don’t do much for several days afterwards and of course one of us usually is stuck using a laptop and mini mouse heh.
Back in October when the business was growing by leaps and bounds every month I was already planning to quit my job by Februrary.. Now with us having to struggle to get the momentum going again it’s a little harder to justify the expense of taking a day off when the gained productivity really isn’t that high.
I’ve already told Dave that tommorow’s work day will be the deciding factor for me whether I will do these work “days” every week or just when we do something that really needs us to be in the same room togather.
Hopefully things go well because I don’t want to sabotage the business but I do need to see more production come out both during the work day and afterwards.
